Last Thursday 17th October one of our valued partner farmers, Sand Rose Dates, was awarded the esteemed Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation. The ceremony took place during the 2nd International Dates Festival in Amman. This important event for all date growers in Jordan was organized in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates.

The two brothers behind Sand Rose’s success Feras and Tareq Jeneidi commented on their award saying that:

We’re truly honoured to be acknowledged as best Medjoul date producers here in Jordan. We aim to deliver our dates to all Medjoul lovers as this hearty natural sweet fruit is simply too good to pass! We’ve learned that with patience and good care our palm trees will always give us back their amazing dates, which is why we take care of running our business sustainably and with dedication. We believe in the natural goodness of dates and aim to give people a healthy alternative to processed foods.”

The Holland Horti Support Jordan team of Advance Consulting and two international date experts will start actively supporting the Jordanian Medjoul dates sector from next month on. We look forward to work hand in hand with the Jeneidi brothers of Sand Rose for the sector’s benefit. More news on this will follow soon.
